if your running vista, the sideshow thing looks well tastey. I don't know much about it but looks cool.
I looked into hooking up a 7 inch touchscreen into the front of a pc - the dimensions of 2 5" drive bays is just about spot on, plus they'r well cheap from China.
What size you thinking of?
