Xbox 360 Fan Stand Mod

I don't know about everyone else, but when I bought my Pelican Xbox 360 Fan Stand I was upset to see only ONE fan powered by USB which should be around 5v of power. Well in this tutorial I will show you how to give it 3 fans and increase the voltage to roughly 12v.
Tools:
- Triwing Screwdriver
- Small Phillips Screwdriver
- Tin snips (something to cut plastic)
- Pliers
- Wire Strippers
- Soldering Iron
- Solder
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue
- Electrical Tape
Stuff for Mod:
- 2 small fans (from old cpu coolers/playstation 2 etc)
- 1 adjustable power supply that varies from like 3-12v or just a standard adapter I like adjustable because I can choose what to set cooling/noise level at
Instructions:
- Flip stand upside down and take stand pads off bottom
- Take all these screws out of the bottom and pull bottom off:

- There is a plastic ridge that runs along the top of the stand that will need to be cut with your tinsnips to fit the fan. The best method is to make bunch of small cuts so you can bend pieces and they will break off easily. Now that there is space to accommodate fans, place fans in there to see how they fit, then trim until they fit.
- Cut the ends off the new fans and cut the power wire that goes to the original fan.
- Strip the wires and solder them all together positive to positive negative to negative than tape them up. If you have a yellow wire on any of the new fans just cut it off or let it hang freely.
- Hot glue the fans to bottom of case and, if you want, glue the wires out of the way.
**Note: make sure you set all your fans to blow or it will not work very well !!!**

- Close the fan stand up you are finished with that.
- Now for the power adapter. Cut the USB end off the stand and the end off the new power supply.
- Strip all the wires and solder them together positive to positive negative to negative (if you don’t know test with a multimeter or just solder them how you think. Worst case scenario you need to change polarity on the power supply).
- Tape it all up and you are done.
- Test out and enjoy!
